MY BOOK OF SOCIAL STUDIES is a series of six books designed for classes Introductory, 1 to 5. The books are aligned to the vision of the latest curriculum and guidelines laid down by the boards.

This edition is filled with numerous activities and these books will enable teachers to help children focus their attention on the various concepts like: Factoid - Gives interesting facts to ignite the curious minds of children and lead them to transform theory into practice.

Life Skills - Checklists, points for discussion and issues that help children to improve critical thinking and decision making skills.

Brain Power - Questions that will greatly enhance the development of independent thinking among children.

Test Yourself - This will help children to strengthen the concepts learnt in the form of activity based learning.

It also includes map work, project work, activities for scholastic and co- scholastic evaluation. Children are also encouraged to explore the internet for more information though the website links provided after each chapter.

In this new series, we follow a balanced approach. While all the topics are covered in detail, we have adopted a lighter and more interactive approach to the process of learning and teaching, by providing students with simple and attractively-presented text and activities.

This book aims to develop among students a logical outlook of asking questions and seeking answers.
